School Fire at Tullibigeal

Summary

Crews have contained the School Fire at Tullibigeal to one school building. Other classrooms and buildings were saved thanks to local RFS brigades and FRNSW crews.

A Department of Education spokesman has confirmed the building was primarily used by senior students undertaking the HSC and Lachlan Access Program, not the library.
The building has been destroyed.
It's not yet clear how the fire started and Rural Fire Service investigators are being called in.
Classrooms were not damaged in the blaze.
The fire has been brought under control.
The spokesman said the school's 50 students, between Kindergarten and Year 12, will be accommodated when they return to school on February 5.
