Local Environmental Plans

Local environmental plans (LEP) prepared by councils guide planning decisions for local government areas. Through zoning and development controls, they allow councils to supervise the ways in which land is used. Councils must consult the NSW Rural Fire Service and Planning for Bush Fire Protection 2006 when preparing an LEP.
