Bush Fire Exhibit, Royal Easter Show, 1955
The Bush Fire Exhibit at the Royal Easter Show. The exhibit promoted the pledge:
“I pledge myself to assist in the prevention of bush fires and to preserve the bush, crops and pastures. I will be careful with fire and matches and will extinguish camp and picnic fires before I leave them. I will encourage others to be as careful as myself”.

Terrey Hills Brigade, Warringah, 1957
Terrey Hills Brigade, Warringah received the first of three Blitz tankers. The ex-army 4 x 4 three ton chassis were purchased through the Commonwealth Government Disposals and then the order was placed through the Local Government Department for fitting out the units in accordance with the design and with the full cooperation of the Forestry Commission.

Bossley Park Volunteer Bush Fire Brigade Headquarters fire station officially opened by Mr W Kinnear, Technical Officer, NSW Bush Fire Committee on the 27 September 1958.
Fire school at Heathcote, 1959
The very first Fire School was conducted by the Bush Fire Committee at the St George Area Boy Scouts’ Camp, Heathcote. The school was opened by Mr A G Kingsmill and was attended by 43 representatives of various Organisations, Municipal and Shire Councils.
The fire school was the first of its kind held by the Bush Fire Committee.
