Applications now open - 14/15 Emergency Volunteers Support Scheme

Summary

 The NSW Minister for Police and Emergency Services has announced applications are now open for the Emergency Volunteers support scheme.

All Rural Fire Brigades across the Blue Mountains are being encouraged to apply for the grants.
 
The Emergency Volunteer Support Scheme recognises the significant role of emergency management volunteers in enhancing community safety. It delivers funding to enhance the recruitment, retention, skills, and training capabilities of emergency management volunteer agencies. The Ministry had advised that priority will be given to project activities leading to recruitment, retention and training volunteers over training equipment purchases.

THE CLOSING DATE FOR APPLICATIONS IS 01 OCTOBER 2014

Applications need to be completed and emailed to Grants & Coordination Programmes at;

bushfiregrantprogrammes@rfs.nsw.gov.au

Brigade applications must have the endorsement of the local DTZ Manager.
