Hot Fire Training Facility

Summary

A new mobile hot fire training facility will help NSW RFS members hone their skills with structure fires.

The modified 40 foot mobile container can be moved around the state, to help train members in a range of courses like village firefighting, structural firefighting and breathing apparatus.

It can be adjusted to simulate different rooms and scenarios – including cold, smoke filled or fire generated environments.

The training cell has been made possible through the NSW RFS Brigades and Donations Trust fund, which helps manage public donations to benefit all members across the state.

Since 2012, the fund has provided more than one millions of equipment, machinery and training aids – and is open to all brigades to help simplify the process of collecting tax deductible donations from the community.
