NSW RFS supports ANZAC Day service

Summary

ANZAC Day is one of the most important dates on the calendar each year - and this year, it has been a very special occasion for a team of 20 NSW RFS members.

The team has traveled to Turkey to assist with the Australian commemorative services on the Gallipoli peninsular, through an arrangement with the Department of Veterans Affairs.

The team has provided assistance to the services at ANZAC Cove and Lone Pine.

For some members of the team, they were also able to pay their respects to family members involved in the conflict.

It's the second year that the NSW RFS has provided this assistance, helping Australian visitors at the historic sites during the annual commemorative services.

The NSW RFS recognises the financial support of Mastercom Australia for the team's deployment.
