EMERGENCY services were called to a single-vehicle accident on the Mitchell Highway near Macquarie Woods at around 7pm on Monday night.

This is the second time in three weeks crews have been called to the area following an accident at the same spot, on the crest of a hill, at the same time of day.

Both drivers are believed to have sustained minor injuries.

Rural Fire Service (RFS) asset and infrastructure officer Steve Smith said the cause of both accidents was being investigated by police.

He confirmed RFS crews had attended both accidents at the same location, however said it was up to police to determine if the position of the sun or speed was a factor in the accidents.

"I'd like to remind people to drive to the road conditions at the time, and drive appropriately," Mr Smith said.

"Drivers should also take plenty of breaks."

"If in doubt, just take time out."

The driver of Monday's accident was treated for minor leg injures by paramedics at the scene before being transported to Orange hospital and released later that night

Police were unavailable for comment.
