Behavioural Insights Team visits Canobolas Zone

Summary
Canobolas Zone has hosted the Behavioural Insights Team where they met our volunteers and they gained insights into our “Canobolas Culture” in the management of our fires and emergencies.
The Team included their leader Dr David Halpern from the UK and Dr Rory Gallagher the Managing Director in Australia and the Asia Pacific and nine other team members.
They were introduced to our goal in Canobolas Zone “of aiming to prevent our everyday fires and emergencies from becoming disasters” and how we challenge the “status quo” with our planning and innovation.
Our work in leading our volunteers with collaboration, empowerment and trust to have local control in our fire management was acknowledged and noted.
The Team also met with volunteers and Group Officers at the new Standard Design Brigade Station at March where they gathered firsthand knowledge of the volunteer experience and inspected the new infrastructure that is being rolled out to our Brigades.
The team was very impressed with the dedication and enthusiasm of the volunteers as they protect our communities.
