Borenore Brigade attends Heifer Creek MVA

A man aged in his 50s was taken to the Orange hospital after his car was involved in an accident on The Escort Way.

Police, paramedics and the Borenore Rural Fire Service brigade were called to the accident around 9.35am on Tuesday.

Emergency service found a Toyota Avalon rolled onto its roof, 10 kilometres away from Orange near Heifer Station Creek at Borenore.

The driver was able to extract himself from the car after it had rolled.

After being triaged by paramedics, he reported chest and abdominal pain and was taken to Orange Health Service for further examination.

The westbound overtaking lane on The Escort Way was partially closed as the vehicle was recovered.

Canobolas Local Area Command’s duty officer Inspector Adam Beard said police would be investigating.

“We will be obtaining a statement from a witness,” Inspector Beard said.

Inspector Beard warned drivers to be careful and to drive to the conditions.  

“Beware of changing conditions, wildlife and weather may have a significant impact and drivers need to be aware of those and drive accordingly.”
