Fuel tanker Fire at the Rocks

Summary
At 11 o'clock last night, crews from Millthorpe, Spring Hill & Lucknow were paged to assist Fire and Rescue NSW as well as RFS crews from the Bathurst region to a vehicle fire on the Mitchell Highway.

Upon arrival it was discovered that the cab of a fuel tanker was fully alight. Fire and Rescue NSW, using breathing apparatus, extinguished the fire and cooled the tank to prevent the fuel from igniting.
