Footage of the north and western sides of the Mt McDonald Road fire that burned just north of Darby's Falls village. It shows the use of Retardant dropped by Bombers 222 & 223 that stopped the fire in terrain that could not be reached by tankers or the dozer.  The fire eventually burned 44hectares and threatened 6 homes and rural assets during the course of the fire. Darby's Falls, Mt McDonald. Wyangala and Milburn Creek Brigades responded to a fire on the Frogmore Road on the property Willow Glen. 

Waugoola brigade opened the airbase at Cowra Airport to assist in loading bombers.

Ground crews contained the grass fire, however the fire progressed up the hill into the timber area. Access to the fire has been extremely difficult.
