This week is NAIDOC Week, where we celebrate the strength and resilience of the oldest continuous cultures on earth and our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander members and connections.

The theme of this year’s NAIDOC Week is “For Our Elders” in recognition of the important role Elders have played and continue to play, and the prominent place they hold in communities and families.

Thank you to friend of the RFS, local Tubba-Gah Wiradjuri man Lewis Burns for conducting the smoking ceremony, and to Leonie Garvey, a proud Kamilaroi woman and Clarence Town RFS member for speaking about the RFS Reconciliation Action Plan.

Earlier today, the #NSWRFS held a flag raising and smoking ceremony at our Dubbo Training Academy, to mark the start of the week.
