Travel safe and live bush fire ready this summer

Summary

Hitting the road this summer? We’re looking forwarding to seeing you in our local communities.

We’ll be doing our bit to keep you safe. You can do your bit as well while travelling – to protect yourself, your family and our local communities.

Before you go

Think about the bush fire risk in the area you’re travelling to. It can take just a few days of hot weather for fire conditions to return.

Remember to check for any COVID-19 restrictions which may be in place. Restrictions are there to keep you and our community safe.

When you’re there

Download the Fires Near Me NSW app on your phone and set up a watch zone.

Check the fire danger rating each day and know what you’ll do if a fire starts.

When you’re out and about

Use fire safely. Check for any restrictions like total fire bans and ensure any fire is put out before you leave.

NSW RFS brigades in towns and villages across the state are part of these local communities. We’ve been through bush fires, COVID-19 and much more, so we can’t wait to welcome you back.

If you see us out and about, give us a wave or say hi. Even better – have a chat about the fire danger in the area and how you can stay safe.
