Summary
The NSW RFS has become one of the first agencies to be using a new social media technology, just launched in Australia - Twitter Alerts.
Twitter Alerts allows the NSW RFS to send special alerts from its official account to subscribers which will be delivered via text message, mobile apps, email and through the Twitter site.
Twitter Alerts is another tool for community messaging alongside Emergency Alert, media, other social media channels, the website, apps and so on.
