Cobar firefighters help South Australia a

Summary

 A group of four Far Western Rural Fire Service (RFS) personnel were hailed local heroes after returning from assisting in the containment of the South Australian fires.

Yesterday they arrived back from SA, from their trek through Nairne and Broken Hill.

RFS membership service officer, Bill Britt said the team has come back from a fantastic experience.

"They spent most of their time consolidating the South Eastern edge of the fire," he said.

"They enjoyed it; there was a fair bit of work and they travelled around a lot, but the morale was good and they learnt a lot."
