Advice: Oyster Cove Rd Fire, Oyster Cove (Port Stephens LGA) - Monitor Conditions 31/01/2026 16:06

There is a bush fire burning between Oyster Cove and Medowie, approximately 25km north east of Newcastle.

The fire is currently 408 hectares in size and has been contained.

Advice: Pacific Hwy Fire, Nerong (Mid Coast LGA) – Reduced Threat 31/01/2026 19:04

The fire is burning south of Nerong in the Myall Lakes National Park area, to the east of the Pacific Highway and west of the Myall River. The fire is burning in a southerly direction towards Tea Gardens and is approximately 1.5km north of Monkey Jacket Creek.

The alert level for this fire has downgraded to Advice due to reduced fire activity and threat.
