Bush Fire Danger Period commences in the Orana Area

Summary
As of Tuesday October 1st anyone wishing to conduct any burning (other than a heating or cooking fire) are required to obtain a fire permit from their local brigade permit issuing officer.
This permit needs to be signed by both the permit issuing officer and the the person conducting the burn. A copy of this signed permit must be sent to the Fire Control Center.The person who is conducting the burn must also have a copy of the permit on them whilst burning and they must adhere to all the conditions written on that permit.
