Summary
As we come up to the Easter holidays it is timely we remind you that it is also the end of the Bush Fire Danger Period.
However, it is still a requirement for anyone lighting a fire in the open to notify the local Fire Control Center (Orana 6881 3900).
The conditions have eased in the last couple of weeks in the Orana Team area.
It is still very dry and fire can be ignited and spread with ease. Please be vigilant when using Fire for cooking and heating this Easter and stay safe.
