The fire is burning between the Timbarra River and Bushy Drive about 10km south east of Drake Village.
The fire is currently over 2,170 hectares in size and is being controlled.

The bush fire burning in the the vicinity of Rifle Range Rd, approximately 5km south east of Inverell has been contained. The fire has burnt more than 1420 hectares.
